Refreshing Protein Acai Bowl

There are many food trends out there that are are a bit overrated, but when it comes to acai bowls — which feature the super superfood from Brazil — the buzz is 100 percent deserved. The acai berry has been heralded for an array of health benefits, but its strongest asset is definitely its taste. Acai is a delicious tropical fruit and when it comes served as a bowl it makes waking up a whole lot easier. You know I'm not the biggest fan of so called superfoods, but if they taste delicious - count me in! I've made a protein acai bowl that can kick start your day using my favourite protein - Sunwarrior. This lovely recipe was created for Superhrana and Veganfest.

  • r - raw
  • v - vegetarian

  • INGREDIENTS
  • 2 Tbsp acai powder or frozen package
  • 1 frozen banana
  • 1/2 cup/75 g frozen mixed berries
  • 1/2 cup/120 ml plant-based milk
  • 1 scoop Sunwarrior protein blend (vanilla)
  • 2 Tbsp lemon juice
  • TOPPINGS
  • 1 Tbsp desiccated coconut
  • 1 Tbsp blueberry powder
  • 2 strawberries
  • 1 Tbsp chia seeds
  • 3 Tbsp granola

So easy! Blend all of the ingredients with protein, I’ve used my favourite Sunwarrior Vanilla Blend together until smooth, serve in a bowl and add your preferred toppings!
