While fighting with almost a 100% humidity in Miami I already miss the windy and cold days in Chicago. This was one of the last days there and I just »had to« buy a new hat because it was freezing. Its funny how you quickly get to feel and know the city your visiting (at least you think so). I enjoyed watching all the different people from different cultures and backgrounds. Here its ordinary if you start singing or laughing out loud, even dancing or just smiling to a stranger. You can dress as you like and no one will look at you weirdly. I guess they are just used to all the freakishness there is to see in this world.
Here are some photos of me trying out the »american dream« lifestyle. I have to admit my raw/eco/bio foods are on hold for these two weeks, because I adore some of the delicious american pastries like donuts, bagels, and muffins. Early morning Starbucks is a must and for the sake of a real touristy experience, I had to take a bite of the authentic Chicago-style deep dish pizza. One word… Yummy!
